Hello Ian, it’s a fellow Ian here and I don’t live in Bridlington or anywhere nearby but please don’t struggle for someone to chat to or ask questions off.

There’s lots of people here who will be able to help and know exactly what you are going through. Also do talk to your local MSA trust specialist nurse who will be able to help.

If you want to chat, just send me a direct message.

Take care, Ian

IanHi, we on here are all like yourself either caring for or are a sufferer of the evil condition MSA.

This site is designed for exactly your type of person that needs help and advice.

We have and are all going through various issues and have many experiences.

If you want to vent please feel free to do so here or call Ian or myself direct.

MSA trust is a great source of help also.

We are here to help.

Hi. Although we are spread out around the country, because this is a fairly rare condition there isn’t always someone living close to us who is going through the same journey and so this forum and the MSA Uk and Ireland Facebook Page are places to ask questions and get support. And as Ian said your other support is the MSA Trust

msatrust.org.uk/

There are the specialist nurses with fabulous knowledge, a welfare benefits advisor, and support groups which are online at present but should get back to in person meetings later in the year- Covid allowing.

Please don’t feel alone, we might not be physically close but do understand how you feel and if you just ask a question here you will get a range of thoughts from other people with experience.

Hello Ian Sorry to hear you are struggling as I think we all do at times. I agree with all previous posts but I do live quite close in Scarborough. I don’t think we can post contact details here but if you wish to contact me I wonder if you have been in touch with our MSA Trust nurse Katie Rigg who I know would be really helpful to you. I care for my husband who has MSA and we did try to set up a local support group about two years ago, so Katie would have my contact details to pass on to you. I also wonder if you have contact with the Scarborough Parkinson’s Group who also offer support and have my number. I hope it’s alright to do this as although I am no expert and would encourage you to get support from as many sources as possible , I also think it can be helpful to chat with someone local and I could share with you resources and experiences we have found useful.

Take care Janette
