Christmas cards

No question - simply to let you know what I've decided to do. I support the MSA Trust by a regular donation. Instead of sending out Christmas cards as I normally do, I thought in view of the lack of fundraising that has happened this year, I would make an extra donation in memory of my late husband (who died from MSA) as it seemed to be more appropriate (I worked out how much postage etc and rounded it up from that). I let people know by email what I was doing and I have had so many supportive comments. In fact, my youngest stepson has let me know that he is making a donation this time.

You know how much the Trust means and we had such support from the Specialist Nurse in our area and help from others in this difficult situation. This was back in 2013, but I really value the continued work that is going on. I don't want to in any way criticise the work of the Motor Neurone Disease people, but I just wish that MSA was able to have a bigger profile as it's such a horrible disease.

Yes, I too was watching the marvellous effort for Motor Neurone and must admit to slightly green eyes. MSA has not had a celebrity like this or Terry Pratchett for Alzheimersand there is no doubt that it is a wonderful fund and awareness raiser

Hi,

That's such a good thing to do. The charity sector has really suffered this year due to lack of fundraising events. I agree with you about how horrible this condition is. My lovely dad died of this and I truly wish for a cure one day. It would be great if more people knew about it and it had a higher profile.

Sending lots of love to you all. Helen xx
