I have PV and take HU have started to get swollen ankles and feet and irritation in big toe> any clues

Problem with big toe could be sign of gout. Get your uric acid level tested. There is a Med to take f high.

Drink lots of water.

Hi, my PV is treated by venesection only so far, but I have swollen ankles sometimes and definitely an arthritic big toes.

yep, blessedwith6 is right could be gout, the med is allopurinol
