I've had a medical with a GP from ATOS.

Not had a medical myself but used to work with people who were called up by Atos for these medicals.

In the UK if you unable to work due to illness.(as i am.I have really bad fatigue due to ET) you can claim a benefit called employment and support allowance. However you will be called up to have a medical with a company called ATOS. They basically decide if your illness stops you from working.
