Has anyone tried acupuncture for MPDs and particularily for the painful feet associated with the condition?

It was suggested to me that it might be helpful. Any thoughts?

When I was first diagnosed at the beginning of this year I went to see my accumpunturist. I have seen him mainly for fertility issues over the years. He treated me for nearly 3 months. It worked wonders for my stress levels but didn't help any of my PV symptoms. So I stopped as it is pretty pricey.

Thanks for that Titatagg. Great it worked well for the stress but what a shame it didn't help with the PV

Hi Myelo, not tried acupuncture but have found that reflexology helps with the pain in the feet and legs, it certainly does help with relaxation which has a positive effect overall. You should check with your GP that your foot pain is not associated with any other condition which could be causing the pain. Maz

Dr. says its probably gout associated with mpd and has given me medication for it. It improved with the tablets and wearing sandals but it disimproves when the shoe season arrives. Thought acupuncture might help. Thanks for the tip about reflexology Mazcd
