What are the alterntives to Warfarin if one faces a life time on it (age 46) for PVT and MPD. Heparin intolerant so that is not an option.

I have PRV, and am on warfarin, and expect to be so for the rest of my life. I had many phlebotomies and then developed a pulmonary thrombosis, which put me on warfarin. One good thing is that I don't have to have frequent phlebotomies. On Aug. 9 I had a heart attack, so another reason to take the rat poison! The lesser of two evils for sure.
