Sore eyes

Hi does anyone ever get itchy irritating sore eyes with this ?

l’ve got dry eyes, I don’t think it’s connected to the disease or medication though - just age!

I have had mild dry eyes due to contact lens wearing which got worse over Christmas/ New year. An appointment with the Optician confirmed I now have Pterygium, a non cancerous growth on my eye Was diagnosed with ET JAK2 last April.

I know not whether it involves my MPN condition, the hydroxy. treatment, or advancing years - but I have occasional dry eyes (along with dry skin & blotches on face) for which my optician recommended Optase gel and Hycosan drops.

In the last few years I've developed dry eyes to the point that I see double sometimes. I also occassionally get a sharp pain in an eye. Eye doc said this is due to dry eyes. Solution is to put over the counter artificial tears in my eyes 3 times a day. I am 79 and have been taking HU for ET for 15 years.
