Almost fully recovered from being run over back in May... Hips still a tad sore whenever I ride these days, unfortunately... But I'm slowly improving ...

Hopefully stage another Ride later next year... (which is all but this year...

Yes, it's has been some time... I am really sorry to learn that you're still having to battle w/ CV 19 etc...

How is it that is happening anyways? I am aware that you, (like myself), have a suppressed immune system because the Rux' keeps us that way throughout our daily treatment regime ...

However, are you not adequately protecting yourself Maria? I always wear a mask when indoors & particularly w/ anyone that I do not usually come into close contact with ...

Nevertheless, I hope you will be fully recovered very soon...

Thank you for your kind words and understanding of our situation with Rux and our MF status.

I am very careful with my protective measures, however somehow the dreaded Virus 🦠 caught me out and I confess I believe it came from within my nearest family members.

I realised very quickly that I was at risk and donned my mask but too late !

This has made me reassess my situation / condition, like you I have worked hard to support life and survive our MF and the rare mutation's AXSL1 etc, etc.

I will be 7 years diagnosed come April 2025 and I look back with absolute horror at diagnosis and the impact it had at that time.

I realise that I had become just a tad too relaxed around close family members that some younger members forget that essentially I have a life limiting illness and although I look well and do as much as possible in life I still need to protect myself and those closest to me need to remember I have a Condition!

My children never forget but there was an impromptu small gathering which caught me out !

I did put a mask 😷 on but too late sadly, thus I or my husband will be issuing a gentle reminder!

As you are probably aware the UK is overwhelmed with various Viruses including Covid at present and we on this forum are very well aware of the implications of Covid and Shielding & CV 19 loves the Cold Weather.

Thus we must all take care and protect ourselves as best we can..

I will speak with you directly but I Wish you and Yours a Happy New Year !

YES! It's so easy to be lax about protecting ourselves... Nano seconds exposure is all it takes... & especially so from those adorably cute babes that SMILE so lovingly as they eagerly spread that dreaded content those tiny mobile germs bombs all dispense with such adoring affection... MONSTERS!
