Results after Pegasys Change

I recently changed my Pegasys dose from 45mcg every four weeks to 90mcg every eight weeks, because of the current shortage.

My platelets after eight weeks had only risen from 320 to 340, within my normal range of fluctuation, so hopefully that means the new regime is working - especially as that’s eight weeks followed my last 45mcg dose 😊

Anyone else had to change their Pegasys dosing and found it’s working OK?

Good news that your PLTs are staying in target range. A rise of 20K is not significant and well within the normal fluctuation in PLT levels.

awesome news on your platelets and hopefully it stays that way!

I have been changing in the opposite direction. I keep having to raise the dose to knock these platelets down. I have a check up today to see if 135 mcg weekly will be the ticket

I will be interested to hear how you get on. I am on a similar dose to you 45 ug every 3 weeks. Fully expect to go to 90 every 6 weeks after my next MPN appointment in 2 weeks. I still have 4 syringes in the fridge. One for today (will use 45) then 3 more sor should tide me over 18 weeks.
