My father age 77 diagnosed with Prosterate cancer in year 2019. Under Zoladex 10.8 for the last
4 years. His PSA is always in 0.01 since we started this injection in every 3 Months.
in the last PET scan things were all OK .
For the last few months he was experiencing some thigh pain and Dr suggested its might due to age also Zoladex prolonged injection deteriorate the bone density.
Unforrtunately last week he fell not a majaor fall and just little bang. He rushed to hospital and we found that his Femur bone has broken.
Femur is a major bone and needs so much force to break. My question is is it related to Zoladex 10.8 side effect which weakens the bone . Shall we continue with this injection on stop and look for other alternatives?

These would be better for you to get advice, this MPN Voice community is for people who have myeloproliferative neoplasms - blood cancers, so we really cannot give you any advice for your father about his prostate cancer, but the organization/community above will be able to help you.
Thanks Hunter for the advise, I will check with the Oncology team if there is a another possibilty to reduce the frequency of the injection ( Currently every three months ) or other course of action.
