Happy Easter to you all!

Can stress make symptoms of E T worse?

I had a few stressful moments this week and I’ve been feeling extremely tired, more than normal, nauseous, pain in my leg and foot..

Just wondered why I would feel so much worse than normal

Thank you

The short answer is yes, stress can make ET symptoms worse. One component of this is that stress can cause inflammation and we already experience systemic inflammation due to the MPN. Stress can cause GI issues, fatigue, muscle pain, and more. Together, stress and a MPN are not a good combination. Stress management is an important component of MPN treatment. We each need to identify strategies that work for ourselves.

All the best moving forward.
