I was diagnosed with ET in 2014 and after a recent bone marrow biopsy have been told I have Grade 2 fibrosis.

Is this the same as Myleofibrosis?

Sorry, I'm not sure and as no one else has answered, have you got a specialist nurse contact that you could email and ask ? Take care. 🙂

Thank you for replying. I did ask a nurse but she wasn't sure but I am seeing a doctor on Tuesday so will ask him to clarify. Xx

That's what I would assume but it's odd that you haven't been told explicitly. Did your consultant tell you about the fibrosis? I think you need to ask, perhaps by phoning the specialist nurse.

Thank you for replying. I was told after the bone marrow biopsy that I have Grade 2 fibrosis. Within 1 week I have had my pre chemo assessment with nurse and am back to see haematologist and pharmacist on Tuesday - so it's all been very quick. I will ask the doctor then as the nurse wasn't sure. Myleo means bone marrow so I'm thinking it's the same. I have Googled bone marrow fibrosis it just comes up with Myleofibrosis each time and I'm presuming it's post ET fibrosis. I just worry if I don't have all the info x
