Just Brad my first 3 doses of Hydroxyurea. 2nd time I’ve had high platelets, first time about 3 years after the6 were stable had a TIA! As you can imagine, feeling very concerned. Anyone had any similar experience?

Sorry to hear about the TIAs. It certainly indicates that cytoreduction is warranted. Response to hydroxyurea tends to be fairly rapid. Some are able to tolerate HU and benefit from it. Hydroxyurea may also reduce the number of microvascular symptoms.
You should be monitoring your response every two weeks with a CBC and CMP. This is the standard protocol for initiating HU. It is important that your dose is titrated to meet your treatment goal, which should be individualized to your needs. It is also important to monitor for tolerance as "hydroxyurea is a highly toxic drug with a low therapeutic index."

I also had a stroke mine wasn’t a TIA. Are you afraid the hu caused your Tia?
