I am healthy overall ,I eat healthier foods ,don,t smoke and walk 2-3 miles every day. In 2017 was diagnosed with too manny red blood cells and high hemocrits.Since my body makes too much blood, they remove about 1 pint of blood every once in awhile. When the blood is at correct level I feel fine, but when too much blood is present I,m very tired and sometimes heavyness in chest.

I'm just a few years behind you, similarly active and can appreciate how you're feeling at times. Hopefully you're seeing a MPN specialist because this disease is a bit challenging to get on top of without one. I went for a year and a half relying only on phlebotomies to keep the numbers in range but I'm personally not a fan of that approach because the blood can go into overdrive after each one. But it did work for a while.
I can only add that I found if I significantly increased my water consumption, it helped with my general overall well being. Even though I thought I was drinking enough, it obviously, for me, wasn't.
Good luck getting an answer to your situation. Best wishes
