Starting judges today

I am no longer on watch and wait as I have had a blood clot. Starting hydrea today. I also have asked for an abdominal ultrasound as I have had some discomfort on my left side for several weeks. It is not the spleen as a recent ultrasound of that was normal. To add insult to injury, my car caught on fire this week and is totally destroyed. I am a modern day Job.

Hi Mtnlife, I hope all goes well with the Hydrea and that you get the discomfort resolved soon. And what a shame about your car. Best wishes, Maz

Good call on getting started on cytoreduction. Hope the hydrea works for you. The good news is that there are other options if it does not suit you. Hope you find nd resolve the cause of the abdominal pain ASAP.

I know all about feeling like Job. Definitely been there and done that. A few months ago a tree fell on my car out in my driveway and totalled it. Aggravating, but a car is just a thing. I would much rather have the tree fall on my car than me.

In brighter news, it seems we are on the cusp of Spring here in the Blue Ridge region. The daffodils and crocuses have all popped. Before long, it will be all green again.

Wishing you a Happy Spring and success with the next stage of your journey.

Well that's a lot to deal with. Hydroxy worked really well for me and I agree that taking it with a good amount of water is important. The other thing regarding your abdominal discomfort is to consider the possibility that you have diverticulitis which is common in our age group and generally presents as slight pain in that area. Important to address that possibility because, while it can often resolve with changes to diet, it sometimes requires an antibiotic. Good luck

Good luck with the hydroxy. I seem to tolerate it well and it does the job for me. Loosing your car,and so dramatically, is not what you want. I hope no one was hurt.

MountainLife, I like to pretend I'm getting all the bad stuff over at once, to clear the deck for better times. Hope your better luck comes soon. About the abdominal stuff, may it be minimal. I know that by the time I had discomfort scanned, the pain was down, and nothing much was there to be worried about. Makes you wonder how quickly organs can swell and subside.
