Diagnosed as gout but I don't think it is

Good Evening all hope you are well

After reading the symptoms of gout I think the doctor may be incorrect

My doctor diagnosed me with gout on 30/9/2022 because my uric acid was high and has been since 2020

I have osteoarthritis in my elbows, fingers, hands knees and very painful feet

However my toes are not red, hot or swollen

My toes are deformed which the doctor said was habordens nodes

I have bad pain in my big toes other toes sharp pain on top of my feet, sides of my feet and underneath on the soles of my feet

Don't have flare ups the pain has been there since 2020 but it has got gradually worse like the pain in my knees and hands

What else could be wrong with my high reading of uric acid

I do have atopic eczema and have had psoriasis on scalp and neck if I get stressed

Doctor gave me allurpurin which gave me the most horrendous tummy upset. Literally 10 minutes after taking the tablet

I am somewhat confused

Hi there. My specialist says my very sore feet are erythromelalgia and are a symptom of my PV. It might be worth discussing this with your doctors. All the best

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to me greatly appreciated

I think my problem is Psoriatic arthritis not gout

My symptoms match the PA ones not the gout

Had high uric acid since 2020 and I have never had flare ups redness on my feet, warm to touch or swelling

My toes are deformed by herberdens nodes like a lump on my big toe

Trying to get another appointment to see my doctor but difficult to get to see someone

it sure sounds like gout to me. Those are the symptoms I get. I have PV
