I don't know if anyone will answer the question as it's a bit personal and don't even know if it's normal but here goes. I am suffering from horrendous passing of air. It can be rather embarrassing and wondered if its normal and if so what do others use or do to illeviate it
Thanks

Thank you for your reply I'm on Anagralide but changing to Pegylated Interferon next month. I have been a windy person for a long time but it's defo getting worse. Do you take anything to help
oh yes ! It’s normal.I have found Rux worse than Hu since I changed to it 4 yrs ago.,as Jennie said. A very careful diet helps I think,no spicy stuff or cream etc,not the complete answer sorry. It is normal for all humans & animals to pass wind ,I don’t know why it has to be embarrassing.
Just in ‘passing’ if my horses didn’t pass wind regularly they would be in big trouble & so would we. Try not to worry ,just makes things worse.
I really do understand your embarrassment & concern,it is something we have to cope with unfortunately. Last week in a supermarche I was browsing the feminine ranges of the masses of stuff we have here & I noticed a product called ‘Shreddies’.Reading the labels it obviously is a panty or panty liner for those who suffer from flatulence. I don’t know if they help or if they are available in U K. Maybe on line even ,I have not tried the use of it so don’t know if helps our problem. I work from home & keep well away from everyone except close friend s,since Covid, they understand my various probs, like suddenly hitting the brick wall, brain fog etc.Have a search for the product ,let us all know about it ,I should have tried but I didn’t I try not to think about it all.Very Best to you ,Sally
Folks who are prone to windiness may also have issues with their microbiome. Some find that probiotics help. Good thing to review with a GI-doc or a naturopath or Integrative/Functional medicine doc.
You may find an improvement just by switching to PEG. as planned. hope the change goes well for you.
You are right I think .I have Omeprazole ,I try not to use it unless I know I have eaten something I do not normally ! Wine is another no no for me ,very difficult in France to say no to Fr friends.!
Or a long, noisy, slow moving freight train nearby....completely uncontrollable and often connected to GRED. Very little warning....I desperately try and avoid crowds and such where I have little control, especially when we eat out, but I'm not always successful. My wife is a supportive Saint, but it still embarrasses me beyond the imagination. Hydroxy, by the way.
