Peg and anaemia update

hi folks just another update on my Peg journey

End of July I went from every 11 days to 14 days for Peg. Haemoglobin 105

A few days ago I had more bloods

Platelets still decreasing so now I’m moving to every 3 weeks!!!!🤗🤗🤗

Unfortunately the haemoglobin hasn’t increased.

Is this because I’m having 1 teaspoon of honey a day instead of two?

Time will tell next appointment in late October.

I never thought I’d get fed up with honey!

so if I’m October my haemoglobin doesn’t improve whilst taking two teaspoons a day then I know I’ll have to look for another solution.

Hey you... :-))

This is really great news about your experiences w/ Peg, & thank you so much for sharing because your doing so can really benefit many others out there contemplating which direction their own course of MPN treatment might prove most beneficial etc ...

We have a guy on MATES, (Mark), who has been gradually ever-increasing the amount of time between his Peg' injections...

Mark recently pushed them to Four (4) weeks apart, that is/was until most recently when his journey to the UK for a Six (6) week trip, saw him decide to do so w/out taking his Med's along at all... (?)

He obviously consulted w/ his MPN Specialist beforehand, as I understand things...

I am yet to speak w/ him since his return to the magical Land of Oz... However, I believe that all went exceedingly well... So COOL... 8-)

Not sure about the benefits of honey where increasing Hgb is concerned... However, I really needed to improve my own Hgb, was ever more O2 in my blood...

You may have heard, (via one of my many previous RB stories – concerning my cycling exploits), where I have found that among the many benefits of drinking Raw Beetroot (RB) extract, is the fact that it improves one's Blood Pressure, which is apparently largely due to RB being a natural source of Raw Nitrate. Raw Nitrate when broken down into our vascular system, becomes an astounding benefit for my Longer distance cycling Rides...

Haemoglobin, is improved simply by increased 02 levels in our Red Blood cells...

Maybe, you could try this option... there is by the way, plenty of scientifically founded logic behind the theory of why RB works so well... However, there are a few little tricks I've had to employ along the way... (Happy to share of course... :-)

From my own very selfish perspective however, I know it really works & helps me & my cycling exercise regime...

Best wishes... stay happy, safe & well... 8-)

Thank you I too am hoping if every 4 weeks is successful I can manage 6 as a one off as I too am off to NZ and oz in November for 6 weeks. As for exercise my usually regime was two 1/2 mile swims a 4 mile fast walk an easy yoga and rocket yoga a week. I need to build back up to it. Regarding haemoglobin if my honey theory is squashed then I’ll look into beetroot.

Thanks found a really interesting article on honey but I can’t share the link. I took a screen shot and tried that way. I’ve just tried the same with you. The screen shot doesn’t seem to be up in its entirety though
