Update on peg injections

Sorry for such a delay in posting my up date.

I’ve been feeling so well I’ve been so busy ‘living a normal life’ I’ve just hadn’t had the time. Along with 3 long distance medical appointments last week.

One of which was my MPN appointment.

Platelets up263-326

Heamoglobin up 97-99( not significant fir me yet)

WBC and neuts also up.

I’m not surprised in the platelets rising because I’ve been on no other meds.

What has surprised me is they want me to continue with alternate weeks for injections.

I queried that in 8 weeks my platelets would have risen significantly but they want my WBC and neuts to increase.

So I’m having a blood test in a few weeks time.

I definitely notice that the week I don’t inject I’m much more active it’s 9pm now and I’ve been in the go since 8am. I have had two really early nights but I don’t mind because it’s a very different tiredness I’ve experienced.

So no more updates until my next blood test .

I just hope I don’t experience pain at the injection sight as someone has just posted.

Glad to hear things are looking up. It is important to remember that that our real goals are an absence of symptoms, not just numbers on a piece of paper. I am very glad that you have been too busy to post an update, though it is great to hear from you.

All the best my friend.

Yes fully agree.

It's actually a great thing that you forgot about updating us. The best sign of a positive development. I hope it stays that way!!!

All the best

Such great news Wyebird. So pleased for you.

I do my second peg shot tonight and am hoping that my 4 days spent mostly in bed last week were either due to the heatwave or my body getting used to it, and that I will shortly have equally good news to report.

Lol still early days after going around full of energy I’ve come back to earth with a bump. Really tired but it is totally expected. It was if I was on a performance enhancing drug.
