Blasts - are they a total blast or a blasted nuisance?

Hi everyone,

I've been experiencing more tiredness since January this year, with less stamina and energy. My hemiplegic migraines have also become more easily triggered and the episodes are becoming more severe. One of my doctors recently mentioned blast counts and this is what I'm seeking your advice on. For some reason he couldn't access my latest test results but I have a routine checkup at my local hospital coming up soon so I'll ask the consultant then.

My quality of life is ok, and I know it's probably as good as it can be, in terms of my health. What I'd like to know is what to look out for, both symptomatically and from test results, as signals of increased fibrosis, or progression. I knew when my ET was shifting to MF because NRBCs started appearing in my blood test results, and at that point my consultant and I formed a plan, which we followed. Now I'd like to know what to look out for and see if my increased fatigue and migraines are linked to something more than just ageing and "life".

Any suggestions or advice gratefully received, as always.

Lucy 🙂
