Well thank you all for your lovely comments about my daughter who is battling Parosteal Osteosarcoma,. She had a call yesterday Friday, from her Sarcoma nurse, and the results from the MRI on her left knee and right shoulder had been discussed at the MTD meeting and it has come back that it is all just wear and tear and where she has been compensating when using the crutches, we all breathed a sigh of relief. Hopefully once she has had this tumour, rod and knee removed and replaced, she will in fact once weight bearing should start to be able to walk better, they have told her that they will get her weight bearing immediately like they did last time which is good. My daughter is a very determined young lady, she wants to get it done and get back home to her kids, they unfortunately like last time will not be able to visit, as last time it was covid, so she had to go through it all on her own, this time within these last two years they have moved to Somerset so not an easy journey, so we are hoping that the hospital will allow us to visit as we are only about an hour away, lets hope.
Anyway my friends thought I would let you know, so some good news.
Take care

What a relief for you all as you say Jean, , , your daughter sounds very resilient and I'm sure will go forward with a positive can do approach. Things have eased up on the visiting front at our local hospital though it seems to vary upon which ward patients are on. They did have a booking system ringing the wards direct but nobody would answer and when you got through all slots had gone possibly booked internally by the patients. Frustrating. Hope its easier than that for you.
And although now a good time ago since my SCT (years fly by eh) Thank You for supporting me in my time of need.
Hi Chris, you were a true inspiration when you went through all your treatments plus in your posts from hospital you always had a smile on your face despite having swollen, eyes peeling skin and the rest that you went through.Just keep praying that this time they get it right and DO get clear margins by taking the knee as well. I know its gone to her lungs but as she has no symptoms and is physically very fit, her oncologist
Sandra Strauss is of the opinion that if and when treatment is needed i.e chemotherapy it will be done hopefully at Bristol, as this would be closer for her living in Marston Magna Somerset, and this will be under her guidance. But hopefully this will be in the future as its still Parosteal.
All of this stress has sent my bloods up and down and all over the place, and made me feel quite unwell. Screw stress I have tried yoga breathing, mindfulness, even tapping, but cant get rid of the things that are going off in my head. But hopefully once the operation is done things will improve with my stress levels.
Anyway my friend hope you are doing IK and that your lovely family are all well.
Thank you Maz, everything is in place for next week for her, now got to sort out if we can visit her at the hospital, as some it turns out have an appointment system and I think Stanmore is one, which is understandable, but do not want her doing this on her own again.X
