My HCT is coming down!

I had my blood drawn on 7/14- my HCT was 47.5. My RBC and Platelets were high but down from the blood draw before that.

3rd Besremi shot on 7/18.

I went for a phlebotomy today and they did a CBC before the blood letting. My HCT was 44.5! That is the lowest it’s been in 3 years! I’m hoping I’ll be in an optimum range for my next blood draw. I’m so excited.

That’s great news! I hope and pray this is the end of phlebotomies for you. Thanks for sharing and I wish you all the best, God bless you!

YEAH!! I am doing my Happy Dance for you. 🕺

Give the Besremi time and it can do its thing. Hopefully you can eliminate the phlebotomies with time.

All the best my friend.

Fabulous news. We see here how stubborn that HCT can be. Wishing that trend keeps up.

Hi,

How are your liver numbers?

Does this tell you James?

Liver function.

They told me my liver function was ok. I do see the ALT is (H). Do they look at a combination of things?

Reply to Barbiebreath:

The FDA label indicates as high as 5 x is ok without stopping the Bes, but reductions are required to get under 3 x. But you're nowhere near any of these, (only 1.25 x) so makes sense your Dr is ok with it.

" more than 5 x the upper limit of normal(ULN) but ≤20 x ULN:

Decrease dose by 50 mcg; if toxicity does not improve, continue

decreasing at biweekly intervals until alanine aminotransferase

(ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) recover < 3 x ULN"

accessdata.fda.gov/drugsatf...

I'm also watching these numbers carefully, so far ok on mine too.
