In the light of the predicted extreme hot weather in UK and Europe this week re there any particular risks to health or precautions which are advised for MPN patients? Obviously keeping cool and hydrated but any other signs to watch out for?

Ive just stayed in the shade as much as possible, and in my hot tub to cool down.Keeping hydrated, with water.

But have treated myself to 2 cold beers today.

Lets hope the next 2 days are not as hot as predicted.

Have slept last few nights in the cool garden with my Son. Much nicer than the hot bedroom.

Keep cool

I'm not aware of any specific advice for us that differs from the general advice. I do think (just my opinion) that we should be rigorous about following the general advice. Apart from having to go to the hospital on Monday for a blood test and dressing change (Hickman Line) I intend to sit and do nothing but drink a lot and eat, with the windows and blinds closed. I will miss my daily walk but it's only a couple of days and not worth the risk of overheating.
