Leslie it is desperate ! Hope you are having normal warmth and a sea breeze........Here is just an oven!!! Yesterday I thought I would die ......

Today is slightly less, pool is like a hot bath, only heated by the sun,,can't attempt to go out to swim until midnight!!!

Yes its pretty warm here in Portugal Sally but especially where we live there is a sea breeze so very bearable!

I am impressed that your pool is naturally so warm - we are near Nice and even though the shade temperature in our garden was 35 yesterday we are still having to heat our pool !

Keep drinking lots of water....

We are Lot et Garonne, often the hottest place in summer,no cooling sea breezes,we came here as its about the last place south that grows good grass for our horses.....now for me it's tooooooo hot !!!! Love around Nice,Cannes but not horse country.Envy you, keep cool.

We actually do have a stables down the road - but that’s because there is still a bit of open country around us and up in the hills! However not like your area .

It’s a bit cooler today - fingers crossed the canicule is over. X

No - purely a holiday home -we live in London, but spend quite a lot of time here, sadly now restricted to one month at a time as I have MF and need monthly blood transfusions. X

I am on Rux as well - feel so much better than before. No more itches, night sweats etc now. Energy levels are really quite good until the end of the month when HB drops too low. Couldn’t contemplate entertaining now though - glad to hear your family are helping out! Have a good time xxx

It was a great party!I managed to keep going with just a couple of quick repos! Heat has been really awful ,we were all inside and fans going , all using water sprays, looked funny all with wet hair and faces.....French friends and neighbours were feeling the heat as well as the English.Shame was not to be in the garden, however it was a great day.Think I am better on Rux too ,re the energy, maybe more headaches tho and still get tired which is so frustrating.

Hoping for cooler soon, this heat is mad for this time of year.

Best to you xxxSally

What a great day you must have had. I went to our local shopping mall to have my hair done - it’s air conditioned and I didn’t want to leave. We grumble when it’s hot and moan when it’s cold ..... I managed to do some oil painting this afternoon although I worked in

my swimsuit with quick dunks in the pool . How many horses do you have? My son keeps two in Aldenham near where he lives - I don’t ride although I have attempted in the past - too nervous. All the best Loretta x

Oh I have two MPN artist friends - and both living in France 😊

It’s a good hobby to have - you don't need much strength to lift a paintbrush - and it stops you thinking about how ghastly you feel!,

However if you have no artistic tendencies whatsoever it would be difficult 😊. I so wish I did have x

Well I’m not Turner or Constable - I believe most people can achieve a respectable result with a little teaching and a great deal of effort....

Take care both of you. I’m complaining at 26 C in Scotland which I’m ashamed of considering what you are going through. Love from Aime xx😻😻

Just spent 12 very hot days in a tour of France with my American French students, with half of our hotels not being air conditioned!! My students now realize how spoiled we are. But we all survived and are on our way home to the US.
