I just came across this study from May. It found if you held a high immune response before a 4th dose, the benefit was less. Not many have this info. But the 2nd item we do have, if you had prior infection and 3 doses, the 4th's effect was also limited.
I've been holding off on 4th, having prior infection + 3 doses, this study could support this thought. I will discuss with my Dr. I do want the bi-valent vax if it gets approved.
<< Some participants in our study maintained high levels of humoral and cellular responses even before the fourth dose and had limited boosting from the fourth dose. This finding was replicated in participants with a history of SARS-CoV-2 infection, indicating that there might be a ceiling or maximum anti-spike protein IgG titre and T-cell response and that the fourth dose might not boost humoral and cellular responses if the baseline response is high.>>
This study also indicated more severe reactions for those with initial series being AZ vax compared to those who started with mRNA. This relates to a recent post I discussed. But n was small for this subject.
