I also had very high B12 when I was first diagnosed - over 1200, and I'm a small person. My hematologist wasn't concerned. Now, 8.5 years later, without doing anything, it's returned to normal. I have no idea why that happened but it did. So I wouldn't be overly concerned either.
People with PV and possibly other MPN,s can have artificially high B12, ie can show high but can still be deficient. I think there may have been something on MPN voice about his years ago or was it something Clair Harrison put out, it did explain why we can show high B12. My understanding is that we should have a different B12 test sometimes referred to as Active B12. I note that since my PV is well controlled with Rux my B12 has come down a lot , almost normal. I am about to do the Active B12 test to compare.
