Yes. We call them compression hose in the US. Agree with the others about walking. Have fun!

Hi Jody,Im off to benidorm tomorrow night, mentioned this at Guy’s hospital on Monday about flying.Consultant said drink water, and just move around on clopidogrel and hydroxycarbamide now.

Flight is only around 2 hours anyway, i did also fly last year in October to alicante.

Was then only on aspirin and was ok.

But nothing wrong with wearing the flight socks, for extra safety precautions.

Hope you have a nice holiday.

hi Jody, it would be best to you ask your haematology nurse for advice on what precautions you need to take. Hope you have a lovely holiday. Best wishes, Maz

Even before I had ET I wore flight socks. Prior to that my ankles would swell

I am also JAK2 ET and am traveling this year on a long flight. My hematologist advised compression socks, stay well hydrated and getting up every hour to walk up and down the aisle.

My husband's consultant recommends him to wear the flight socks. We've just come back from Turkey on Monday . My husband never wears them.
