Its become a struggle since increasing from 25mg to 50mg Peg. Last time I didnt touch alcohol for two weeks and both numbers were generally in line (around 40). This go around same story but both numbers were in the low 60s.
Curious if others deal with inconsistent liver numbers? When (at what level) would a doc become really concerned?

Since diagnosis my liver counts have been up and down, when i was first diagnosed they were very elevated, im not sure which but one hit about 400.
They then hovered around 250 for a while and the consensus was that aslong as they werent worsening they werent too concerned. I did have a liver biopsy which showed my liver was healthy.
Since then they have gradually come down, the highest (whichever it was) was 30 last time. But there have been the odd occasion it jumped up but then was back down the next time.
I have noticed them reduce over time coincides with me increasing the amount of exercise if do which is a detox in itself i think.
Obviously im no expert but it doesnt sound like your counts are OTT so i would have thought the Doctors would just monitor to make sure they dont increase significantly
Mine are almost always high. My haematologist is pretty sure that it's because of the medication (Ruxolitinib). I've given up alcohol but cannot function without painkillers so I think my liver just has a bit too much to cope with.
Hi, After about a year on weekly 90mcg Pegasys my ALT was steadily increasing reaching 290. I had a private liver check and no issues were detected. My consultant decided to pause my Pegasys for a few weeks until my ALT returned to normal range, then I restarted at a reduced frequency of every two weeks and reduced dose from 90 to 65mcg. Since then my ALT hovers around 60 - 70 but my consultant doesn’t think this is an issue. Fortunately my platelets are still well controlled on the revised Pegasys dosing regimen. I suspect your ALT at 60 may not be a significant issue but always best to discuss your concerns with your consultant. All the best.
