ET hair loss
I lost quite a bit when on hydroxy, not as much since being on Anagrelide. (Some has come back) It could be drug related or the stress of being diagnosed. Mention it to your consultant or specialist nurse.
I would say both as my hair had thinned long before diagnosis, but did coincide with change to blood counts. Menopause, B12 deficiency, and thyroid can all cause hair loss.
Alopecia can occur for a number of reasons. Pegasys is only one of them. It can also be to nutritional deficiencies or other causes. One clue would be when did the hair loss begin? Before or after the PEG?
It would certainly be worth taking to your care team about this and doing some basic tests to rule out the different known causes of alopecia.
Hope you get answers soon
