Thats me had my second dose today ! feel ok so far just tired but I feel tired most of the time anyway .

Hi Indy , , Good news ! I hope you have little by way of after effects except an increase in antibodies of course ! . . . I must admit it boosted my confidence getting out and about mixing again albeit not dropping my guard. Let's hope as things ease up that we don't all go mad and spoil it for ourselves and these unsettling reports about the potential impact of the Indian Covid variant doesnt undermine all the good progress on greatly reducing hospital admissions.

Hi Indy - I felt extremely tired after my second AstraZeneca vaccine too, it last for about 3 days. Then I went back to my usual level of tiredness.

Hi , I was really tired after the second dose too, went to bed and slept for 10 hours straight, which never happens ! Far less side effects than the first dose (which was like having flu). Like most of us , still in the dark about whether we have generated any protection or not in the absence of an immunity test being freely available on the NHS ( You can of course pay for one privately which some members have done and kindly reported their findings on here for the rest of us to see ). There is , as Jedi says, some potentially worrying developments with the Indian variant , particularly for those of us who *may* not have protection 😕

Yes I know worrying times, I already had covid over xmas didn't need to go to hospital thankfully. No one has any idea if the vaccine will protect against this new variant either! Anyway we can live and hope .
