My blood work came back with notation of OCC large and the white blood cell count was up. Very worried. Also angry that as I saw ongolgist that day and she did not mention it. I saw it in my app. Thinking this means progression to CML or worse.
Anyone have any idea what this means

I believe clubdino is correct re. OCC Large. A single uptick in WBCs may also mean nothing more than you having been exposed to a virus. it is trends that matter, not single reads on a lab. Hopefully the reason the oncologist did not mention it is that she did not see it as clinically significant. However, you have every right to call back and ask for an explanation. It is much better than worrying. FYI - I always have a copy of my labs during any appointment when I am talking to my hematologist - not afterwards. I always question anything that looks different/is a concern.
