I think its impossible for the Government/NHS to deliver a message that is a one size fits all.

We are all different. As a fit 49 year old who is shielding I feel going outside the home and walking is something i can do safely, wheras someone less mobile may not be happy as may not be able to avoid people in the street or move out the way.

Some of us have outdoor spaces at home and some dont.

I think common sense should apply, if only many of the public had shown common sense throughout, despite the errors made by government things may be better today than they are.

Kind messages rather than orders and fear might encourage more people to be sensible. But we are Al not perfect to one degree or another.....

Also if leaders tell fibs maybe that encourages others

I agree 100% with using judgement about what is best for any one of us. It is about relative risk and individual risk tolerance. Emphasis on using common sense. When we teach self-defense classes we tell people "Don't go stupid places with stupid people and do stupid things." That applies to dealing with COVID too. If everyone would just use good judgement and rely on the science of reducing risk we would all be safer.

Yes . But we also have to accept some people are gullible and easily led, don’t you think? ( in the wrong direction)

Good to hear from you . I had thought you were keeping a low profile !!

Too bad there is not a vaccine for gullibility or perhaps a booster shot for common sense. Oh well, we just have to make good decisions ourselves and hope for the best.

Have been very busy with the Holidays and taking care of elderly parents of late. Hoping for a bit more free time soon.
