Peg interferon

Hello everyone , today i had my bloods done at the hospital, and waited for my medication, the interferon 2a has been discontinued, so from today am on peg interferon. Just wanted to know if any others have changed to peg, and has there been any difference. Thank you for reading x

Hi I was on the standard interferon at first but only lasted 6mths due to awful side effects, I changed then to peg and all side effects cleared up and I have had no major problems, been on peg now for 2 yrs and now only inject once every 3weeks as it’s a balance as my platelets and WBCs are now on the lower end of normal from being really high. Good luck sure you will be fine😊

Like Jen76 I had to change to Peg Int 2a which I take 3 weekly and initially it affected me for a couple of days each time , making me feel very tired, but I am used to it now and it is working well.

Thank you . Hopefully i will be fine on peg, had my first last night, seemed a little tired today and a few hot flushes , fingers crossed they disappear. All the best to you too xx
