After hearing very encouraging information regarding effectiveness of BESREMi Ropeginterferon alfa-2b from the doctor in my local clinic (based on clinical trial they run for several years) I checked the price in Austrian drug store. At the moment the cost is 2880 Euro per 1 prefilled 250 mcg pen with 2 needles.

The price is PRETTY high at the moment.

From what I understand, the starting dose is 100 mcg, every 2 weeks. Later it can be reduced to 50 mcg, according to the included protocol.

It is not partially covered by your national health care?

No, in my country, very few drugs are covered. Maybe for Austrians/Germans it's covered.

Hi Alex,

I'm no-German and never have had to pay for my drugs here in Germany. Is it only in Austria so?

Cheers,

Malek.

The thing is I don't live in Germany. In Ukraine at the moment. Our healthcare system rarely covers something advanced. From what I know, BASREMi is available in Austria and Germany.
