Hi. Good morning everyone.

I was diagnosed JK2 neg and Carl positive 4 years ago. Hydroxy 1500 mgms 5x3 Mon - Fri 2x1 Sat 1x1 Sun Plus 75mg aspirin daily Platelets go between 4 & 5 hundred.

Booked a long haul 12 hr flight for next Sept. Be grateful for any tips to keep myself tip top before during and after flight.

Always a great comfort knowing that there are so many in a similar situation as myself. Really helpful to read your posts.

Lynne.

Hi Lynne - I have ET and take HU plus clopidogrel. On long flights I make sure to drink loads of water - and book an aisle seat so I can stretch and walk around/stand up regularly - and go to the bathroom (all that water!) without climbing over anyone.

I wore flight compression socks going from dublin to sydney. I second the loads of water, aisle seat. I also rotated ankles when sitting in seat and when in line for the loo I gently swung leg . I also walked around a lot. Have a lovely holiday

I echo Wiley. In addition to that I flex and stretch my feet. Consider extra leg room seats. Well worth the money. I also have my own bottle of water save asking the flight attendant.
