Hey everyone... :D

When important studies such as this one point to so many positive outcomes, I simply believe that we must all at least try much harder to maintain some level of consistent aerobic-based exercise, and especially so for any of us over 60yo...

The implications of this scientifically conducted study pasted below leaves little doubt of the benefits available to most if not all of us...

Happy reading... stay happy & well

Changes in exercise frequency and cardiovascular outcomes in older adults

Abstract

"Little is known about the association of changes in moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) level with cardiovascular disease (CVD), especially in older adults whose ability to engage in frequent MVPA naturally wanes as they age. We aimed to examine the association of changes in MVPA and CVD in older adults"

Hi Steve another great link from your positive focus on what can really help us. Im now 68 soon to be 69 diagnosed with ET JAK2 positive in May 2019, swim vigorously around 40 minutes usually 5-6 times a week. It’s been excellent for building a healthy mood, provides energy, and helps stabilizes platelets. At the end of every workout I can truly tell the benefit from increase oxygen and well being within an hour and it lasts all day. This along with trying to eat healthy, a few nutritional supplements , proper sleep and Gods presence through prayer morning and evening has been a real lifeline. Still on just baby aspirin and near normal platelet count. This exercise regimen has impacted platelet count favorably.

Let’s keep thinking on ways and working toward managing things as best we are able. Your always an inspiration to all of us. Blessed Thanksgiving.

Hey Clarke... 8-)

I would say that it is you who are an inspiration... So very cool to learn of your exercise regime, and all the benefits thereof... And you are absolutely correct of course... I too always feel so much the better after each workout on my bike... and it can last for days afterwards...

Planning a bigger ride tomorrow, and feeling a tad apprehensive as there are many hills to confront that I have never before... Should be quite the challenge... ???

Best wishes 8-)
