Hey everyone... :-)

Potentially, this latest discovery of Oxygen (02) sensing cellular structures might be the most important news any of us have ever heard about treating cancer and many other associative human chronic conditions...

The following Video Link, provides some basic explanations as to how the discovery of this new protein: (hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF)), works as a Switch that can be turned Off or On depending upon a Patient's illness or metabolic condition. This is truly exciting and holds enormous potential in the next step towards treating various aspects of Cancer and many other conditions, in my view...

Definitely worth watching...

Thank you very much for this post. I watched it all. So i understood that cancer cells need and get more blood supply in order to expand. A potential drug, would switch off their need for this supply and make them starv in a way.

Hey Aneliv9... :-)

More or less...

When it comes to solid types of tumour growths, the cells rely on receiving their energy stored in the Hemoglobin of Red Blood Cells. By then Switching OFF - the HIF Protein, the Tumour might become starved of said energy and therefore cease growing etc.

Where Anaemia is concerned, one would be trying to Switch ON the HIF Protein in order to provide more Red Blood cells and thereby overcome the effects of anaemia altogether etc...

Hope that this helps with the basics...

Best

Steve
