Been on hydrox for two years now and my plates are in normal range now at 385 . My doctor done a recent blood test because I feel even more tired than normal and my wbc is 3.9 . Is this to low?
Is my wbc to low at 3.9: Been on hydrox for two... - MPN Voice
Is my wbc to low at 3.9
My WBC seems to hover in the low threes - 3.0, 3.2, 3.3. I saw my haemo earlier this month and asked him if that was concerning, and he said it was not. I don't feel any more weak or tired than before, so maybe your WBC count isn't what's making you feel so fatigued. I'd definitely check it out with your doctor though, because we all react so differently.
My WBC is currently 1.7 and I feel fine. Possibly at greater risk of infection. Am cutting back on my Pegasys dosage from 100 mcg weekly to 75 mcg. Working too well!
Hi Jackie, this for me is a normal reading. So maybe you are overdoing things hence you are feeling a lot more tired than usual. Are you drinking plenty of water this helps with hydration after taking the Hydroxycarbamide.

Thank you all for the information. Maybe I have been over doing it. I am training at the moment for the London to brighten bike ride .
Hi Jackie, my wife's WBC is around 13.0 and she has myelofibrosis, and on hydroxy and Anagrelide, while mine is around 3.9 or lower, and I do not have an mpn! I think "normal" is 4 to 11so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Jealous of your forthcoming bike ride.
All the best.
