if steady beat but faster could perhaps be palpitations due to lower O2 and/or iron? ( if not steady see a doc!)

It's steady.

Can you tell your case does it increases or decreases in your case

Can’t recall that. Just remember feeling wiped out after first few phlebotomies. Think everything slowed down!

Yes kind of slowed down for me too. Felt more serene. Just kind of breezed through the next day.

I’m not ‘serene’ describes it. Comatose more likely! :)

At my hospital they put the BP monitor on you straight after a venesection and I remember commenting that I'd never seen my numbers so high, so I guess it must be normal for BP and heart rate to increase after. My daughter who was with me at the time used to be a blood donar and said it happens so no need to worry it's temporary.

I had my first venesection day before yesterday. I didn't feel bad, but I did feel a little "floaty" the next day, my blood pressure had dropped to 112/74, I put it down to that? My heart rate was 64 when tested. So all good for me. I should imagine heart rate goes up with anxiety. Pretty sure mine does and I have had a few anxious moments (like waiting for first venesection) . Walking a couple of miles helps me. Which I did day after venesection. Felt harder than usual but not impossible. Stayed hydrated. Hope that helps.

Luckily I breeze through these and have been having them for 5 years now. Just a bit "floaty " for 10- 20 mins afterwards. I guess we are all different.
