Clicking joints all the time

Hey guys I’m newly diagnosed with PV and am wondering if anyone else’s joints click all the time? Is this normal with PV? It seems to be getting more and more frequent and I’m worried it could be a sign of progression!

Hi Janey, I crack and click all over but I do have osteoarthritis and funny tendons and ligaments so not sure if I can blame anything else. Maybe someone else will be able to help but if it's new and you think it's getting worst, best to get checked out and then you've dispensed with that worry. Kindest regards Aime xx😺😺

It's the drug, it seems. I am ET and from taking hydroxy I had clicking and swollen thumbs. Now on Pegasys and they have changed to intermittent clicking and very painful thumbs, which don't work at all well.

My doctor told me it's my tendons shrinking back but when it happens, the joints hurt s much because the bones are touching when I bend them. No other joints doing this yet. Let's hope they don't. All the best Penelope

Hi Penelope sorry to hear you're having issues with both of the drugs! Hopefully they will find a way to get rid of these symptoms - sore joints are really annoying! At the moment I'm only taking daily aspirin and before I started getting the clicking I wasn't on anything! I am getting more hormone tests tomorrow so it could be the PV isn't related to the clicking for me. I'll let you know how i get on!
