Hello fellow Swiss person! Can’t really help you as I have PV and take interferon not Hydroxyurea but I’m sure you’ll find many helpful answers on this site.

Hello Danack, I’m ET Calr. I think you have very high reading indeed. You must be dispondent. You are on a low dose of hydroxicarbomide. It some times takes time to find the right dose and indeed the right medication. 3 years on and my meds are still being adjusted, although in my case it’s to keep them in the low 400.

Give yourself some more time. Easier said than done. Keep a copy of all your blood test results.

Keep me posted

i HAVE ET, IT OFTEN TAKES TIME FOR THE HYDROXY TO GET INTO YOUR SYSTEM, IT SHOULD START FALLING SOON!

BEST WISHES

I hope when you read this your platelet count will be lower. My daughter has ET (CLAR). She was on Hydre - platelets went from 1.5 million to 700,000. She changed to interferon and platelets went to 1.6 million in a few weeks. Still trying to find the right treatment.
