PV Related Headache?

I was flying back from Spain, just on the descent into the airport and experienced a sudden sort of sharp flashing, rippling headache up my forehead. Not a deep headache. It felt only skin deep, but painful. It did feel blood realted. It lasted about 10 minutes and I was left with a dull ache which last an hour or so. I wondered if anyone had experienced anything similar? I will speak to my haem but just wondered?

Hi Bluetop, I don't have PV but have had similar headaches, I just put it down to cabin pressure, travel etc. but I think it is always better toget these things checked out. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Thanks, probably just flight related, but was scary at the time and I have a tendency to put everything down to the PV.

Hi, I have PV and experienced the same last time we flew in May. I thought the cause maybe the descent. Scary that another PV had the same. Mine also only last for 10 mins and was very painful. I didn't think anymore of it.

Be interesting to hear if anyone else has had this.

Maybe you should take some medicine when flying. Ask your doctor. Risk factor!

I get that a lot and I have not had the courage to get on a plane yet, it is one of the symptoms that stops me getting on a flight, it drives me nuts on the ground and my worry has been it will be worse on a flight. It feels blood related, I usually start guzzling loads of water, in my imagination I am clearing something.xx😎
