HCT Levels and ET

So had my GP annual review last week and was given a new blood sugar meter that measures heamacrit HCT levels. Tried it at the surgery and it gave the same result 38 as on a blood test taken the day before. It seems to stay around 36-38 most days till this morning when it had dropped to 26.

My problem is I'm not Sure what is really low and what I should do to increase it to more normal levels. This meter also tests ketones which are 0.2 and the blood sugar was 7.1 so both of them are pretty good. There seems to be so many different blood numbers to stay on top of I get confused at times, and I know it's nothing to do with my ET. At least my platelets are normal at 346 whilst on Peginterferon it's a shame my liver ALT has creeped back up to 80, so can't see me being allowed to stop on it much longer

Is this a meter you use yourself?

I agree it is difficult to get your head round all the numbers and their inter-relationships!

Not what you're looking for?
