David,
Have you a link to the occupational and chemical exposures information that you allude to above?
I am a retired wholetime firefighter of over 30 years and I believe this to be the cause of my ET. Especially given that I trained ff’s from around the world in petrochemical installation firefighting techniques.
Any information would be welcome my email gerardfireman@aol.com
Thanks
I too am a retired firefighter of 20 years and have often wondered if I have been exposed to anything! Any information would be gratefully received.
Michael
Hi Yorkie & Michael,
This information was presented by Professor Mary Frances McMullin at the International MPN Horizons Conference I attended in October 2017. You can find a picture of the slide this article is partially based on by going to my Twitter page and scrolling down to Oct. 29th (Some Evidence Cohorts), you will see the shot here - twitter.com/PVReporter
The article was also based on the references you will see at the bottom of the page. While I don't believe it to be a direct cause and effect relationship, it certainly gets you thinking if you have been in one of these occupations for 20 or 30 years.
Hope that helps.
Best,
David
