Hi, I'm on Pegasys, not Rux but I need a steroid injection for my shoulder and the physio said I have to get written confirmation from my haematologist that this is ok before it can be done. I think it best to ask the haematologist before your husband proceeds. Best wishes, Frances

Good Morning,

Wonder why you needed an authorisation ? I have just seen the ortho doc, he knew about my PV JAK2Pos and just injected my shoulder with the steroid. No side effects!!

Hi, no idea, just told my consultant they want written confirmation and he was amazed! Hey ho. Glad your shoulder jab went well.

Why is he on Ruxalitanib for PV? is he on a trial. I thought it was only approved for advanced MF

Your husband will need to ask his haematologist if he can have steroid injections whilst on Ruxolitinib. Best wishes, Maz
