If you fancy a day trip to Brighton, a garden in the seaside city is throwing open the gate and hosting a pop-up garden café to raise money for MPD/N Voice this August. The garden, at 1 Belton Close, Brighton, BN2 3RY will be opening on Saturday 9th August and Sunday 10th August from 11 am to 5 pm offering a chance to enjoy a private slice of horticultural heaven along with homemade cakes and refreshments, all to raise much-needed funds.
Previously open in the National Garden Scheme, the garden is tucked away in a little close of houses and can’t be seen from any road, but there will be plenty of signs to help you find it. This city garden includes a long herbaceous border; tropical planting including bananas, gingers and cannas; dahlias; fountains; a kitchen garden and lots (and lots) of patio pots. You can even meet the resident chickens!
Tea, coffee and homemade cake will be available all day and there will be plants and homemade preserves on sale to raise even more money.
