Hi everybody,

Thank you all for your great response, I went to see my haemo yesterday, she was pleased with blood count, and said she was pleased with the size of my spleen. although it is still large, it is not as large as it was before I started on trial with ruxolitinib 20mg .

It seems to keep it under control, I also have an injection of EPREX,30,000 units,

every Monday. this helps keep my blood count up. So my M.F, is keeping steady,

I still feel tired. and my legs still burn if I go up a lot stairs, my spleen, seems to have a

mind of its own, growing and shrinking, which causes the stabbing pains, in my left side.

But all in all I don't feel o bad.

That's better news then! It's very much a case of managing the condition. I have been diagnosed with PMF for just 5 years and it is managed with 3 ALPHA-INTERFERON injections per week. I do suffer fatigue; "burning legs" when climbing stairs; and leg cramps at night. I have no spleen problems yet so, overall, I consider myself lucky!! Take care and good luck.
