Has anyone kept taking pizotifen for migraine prevention while pregnant? My neurologist told me there’s not a lot of research around it in pregnancy and although it’s not in a “bad” drug category he would like me to come off it. The withdrawals are hard and the headaches are fierce! So I know the drug definitely helps me. 😔 I’m not currently pregnant but I plan to be at some stage

I had to come of everything for the first trimester for both my pregnancies. Some women's migraine go away during pregnancy so you might be lucky.

I have chronic migraines which unfortunately didn't go away. I had to come off Botox, Amitriptyline and Triptans for both pregnancies but bc I deteriated so much after the first trimester they put me back on Amitriptyline but at a much lower dose.

I delayed having children for years in the hope my migraines would get better, after a while I was getting to old so we had to just bit the bullet, I was 38 for my 1st and 41 for 2nd. I wish I started earlier as kids are so physically demanding but ive never regretted having kids not for even a second and I still having almost continuous migraine. I have fibromyalgia, IBS, Bladder Pain Syndrome, Insomnia and mental health issues but a very supportive husband!
