Has anybody taken Flunarizine for Hemiplegic Migraine? If so, can you say what was it like taking it? Did you have side affects? Was it difficult to get hold of? Thanks.

Flunarizine for Hemiplegic Migraine
I don’t have hemiplegic migraine. Mine is vestibular. Flunarizine with HRT patches helped me a lot. I was on the Flunarizine for a year without any significant side effects. Still on the HRT patches 5 years on. Worked really well for me, I was too ill to work, felt as if I was on a boat all the time, really bad nausea all the time. My goodness I don’t like to remember how bad it was.
Was prescribed by a specialist neurologist and I had to collect it from the hospital pharmacy not a chemist. (Scotland) It couldn’t be prescribed by my GP.
Thank you so much for your reply. That is really encouraging and good to know that you were helped by it. It is the first time I have had any hope of help.
I started taking flunarazine a few weeks ago for hemiplegic migraine. I had bad side effects with quite a few other drugs. Taking northryptiline as well as I have very severe neurological symptoms. Without it unable to walk with severe dizziness and hand tremor and unable to work. So far had not had side effects but very concerned about weight gain as I have already put on so much on the northryptiline . Too early to say if it will be effective but I am hopeful
