This is very early days, but got some Belladonna Homeoathic tablets for my daughter ,has taken them for 3days now. First day had 1 30c tablet every 2 hours six times. She had a bad head most days and if not a headache a migraine. She just said she thinks they are helping ,head very much better today. I was in Holland and Barrett and saw the weleda homeopathic remedies and had read about Belladonna. They might not be the right remedy for everyone,as there are different for bad headaches and migraines. She seemed to fit the description of blue eyes, flushed face. With homeopathy if you get the right remedy it can really do the trick and they work quickly too. There is a headache chart to show which remedy particularly describing type of headache .Wanted to pass this on in case can help anyone.

Just curious if you have looked at this?

webmd.com/vitamins/ai/ingre...

I take Feverfew, which has been studied and has really helped me. I take it 2x a day.

I also take magnesium glycinate 3x a day

I have reduced my headace/migraines a lot.

Hi that's great that works, sounds a good combo She did try feverfew a couple of years ago,but didn't really help However is also on Magnesium glycinate ,it's possible it could work now. I would say the difference with this remedy has been quite noticeable, particularly as she never says her head feels better and she doesn't believe anything works anymore. Its such minute quantities that doesn't have same affect as herbal equivalent.A homeopath once gave me a remedy years ago andI got a bruised appearance on my inner arm and be said it was a predisposition to leukaemia and that I would never get it . Many treat like for like.Iy is early days ,but fingers crossed seems to be helping.

For me the key is the 3x a day with magnesium. In the am I don't usage feel pain but by 11:30am it's like it is waiting for the noon dose. After I take it the pain goes away. I would just really watch if your pupils are not closing normal ( you don't want large pupils ( to much light can get in).

Go for anything that works.

I have also really be saved by injections of Imitrex when things get bad.

Take care, thanks for sharing.

U mentioned flushed face, I dont have that but could your daughter fit the description for hemicrania continua? If so, there is eventually an operation to help that. I didn’t understand the blue eyes bit,? I do have blue eyes tho and my eyes are very unhappy, i have floaters blurred vision, watering eyes that need to squint a lot and some days dystonia meaning they just want to close involuntarily even when not tired. Eye Dr says theyre ok for now😳 cant help thinking must be linked to my permanent head pain.

Hi yes I think it alternates between bad headaches and Migraines, but she knows the difference now. I think the flushed face may be a general description of a person, cos in homeopathy they look at your character, emotions and physical appearance to get the right match. It does sound like your eyes are linked to your head pain I didn't know their was an operation for Haematonia continua, what's the criteria for it is it a risky op?

Its ages ago since i read about it now . Google it? I think its an implant at back of head to block signals to brain. My neuro said i dont have hemicrania continua. Think those sufferers get drooping eye and blocked nose . And its only pain on one side. Mine used to move around. Mainly forehead and temples now.

Thanks so much for getting in touch Ive ordered some immediately. Im on day two of 30 day keto diet. Hospital advised it. Dr Josh Axe is the book, has cost a lot for a lot of the stuff initially but be worth it if helps. Had no sugar or alcohol for couple werks now also. Ive never noticed any foods being a trigger , just light noise and stress raise my pain scores. Unfortunately u cant go throu life with no stress. I read that high levels of cortisol/andrenaline can cause plaque in veins and arteries. Neuro just smiled when i suggested that. It really feels , in my case because of the constant pulsing in temples that the blood is struggling to get throu.ive had a second mri to compare with one a year ago but reporting on them is taking in excess of 70 days.its only 40 days since i had this second one. I told neuro id read that migraine was an incurable disease of the brain, he disagreed entirely and said we will get to the bottom of it. But as took prophylactic meds for ten years and jow have had constant pain for one day and hes not succeeded yet im trying not to lose hope! Thanks so much for your advice , I really appreciate you taking the time to msg. Xx

Sorry, but homeopathy is a load of nonsense. Any effect will be placebo.

I'm not convinced by vitamin supplements either. Perhaps they work for some, but I've tried them all and none made any difference. I'm still trying Co-enzyme Q10, but I don't think that does anything either.

Feverfew may have some effect, but the quantity of parthenolide varies wildly between brands (maybe even between batches), so I'll wait until it's available as a pure extract. It must be used cautiously, as it can interact with some drugs.

I think everyone is different and some things may work for some that don't for others.I have used homeopathy myself over the years and found its helped me.if you see a trained homeopath and they get the remedy right it can be spot on. When I had it years ago their was no other explanation for the bruised inner arm fold and my other symptoms improved. He also gave my daughter camomila for colic and biting too and it helped calm her and she stopped biting. My daughter is really sceptical about most things alternative,so it would be opposite and she wouldn't expect it to work ,but this morning first morning in a long time has got up got dressed and actually gone out for a walk. I think anything is worth a try as long as safe and not too costly.
